Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-10-08. This is a plain-language draft that has not been reviewed by counsel and is not yet in force.
What we collect
Your account details, the photos and text you provide, the decks you create, and basic usage and payment records.
For photos we also keep the results of the face checks described in the biometric notice: where faces are in the picture, and a few yes/no flags.
How long we keep it
Each kind of data below is removed on its own schedule by automatic clean-ups.
| What | How long | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Résumé, bio and job-description text you paste or upload | 30 days | The text is deleted. Your decks keep whatever you chose to put in them. |
| Email addresses and notes of people you send a deck to | 30 days after sending | The address and the note are deleted. A one-way fingerprint of the address is kept so unsubscribes and blocks keep working. |
| Earlier published versions of a deck | 30 days after you unpublish or replace them | The saved copy of the page is deleted. |
| Editing history (earlier saved versions of a deck) | Automatic saves beyond the last 50, once they are more than 30 days old. Versions you named or published are kept until you delete your account | Those older automatic saves are deleted. |
| Photo uploads that never finish | 24 hours | The partly uploaded file is removed. |
| View statistics for published decks | 90 days | Older view events are deleted. |
| Photos you delete | Removed by a routine clean-up that runs every hour | The files, including the private original, are removed from storage, and the face results saved with the photo (where the faces are, the focal point, the face count and the yes/no flags) are erased with them, unless a legal hold or a safety review applies. Copies inside a deck you published stay public until you unpublish that deck. |
| A deleted account | A 14-day grace period | Then your name, email address and content are erased or scrubbed, including the face results saved with your photos, unless a legal hold or a safety review applies. |
| Credit, consent and audit records | As required by law | Kept after an account is deleted for accounting, proof of consent and security, linked only to a scrubbed account record. |
Deleting your account
Go to Settings > Delete my account. You will be asked to sign in again to confirm it is you.
Your published decks and their links stop working right away, emails that were still waiting to send are cancelled, and your customer record at our payment provider is deleted (which also ends any subscription). Fourteen days later we erase or scrub your personal data: your name, email address, decks, photos, the face results saved with them, and recipient details.
Credit, consent and audit records are kept as required by law, as the table above says.
Our database and storage providers keep backups for their own backup window. Data you deleted can remain in those backups until they expire.
Who sees your deck
Decks are unlisted by default. Only people with your link can open a published deck. Private originals of your photos are never public.
A published deck carries its own copies of the images it shows. Deleting a photo later does not change a deck that is already published: those copies stay public until you unpublish that deck.
Service providers
We use vendors for hosting, sign-in, payments, email delivery and AI processing. They handle data only to provide their service to us. The subprocessors page lists who they are, what each one receives and where.
When you choose an AI style, the relevant photo is sent to our AI vendor to create it.
Your choices
You can unpublish or delete a deck at any time, and delete individual photos from the photo picker in the editor.
You can delete your account yourself, as described above. Data export is not available yet; email [email protected] and we will help.
